This Privacy Policy explains how Maydan ("Maydan", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, processes, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Maydan platform, including our mobile application, website, booking services, tournaments, training services, customer support channels, and related services.

Maydan is a digital sports booking and services platform currently operating in the Sultanate of Oman.

By accessing or using Maydan, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before collecting or processing your personal information.

1. WHO WE ARE

Maydan is a digital platform designed to enable users to:

  • Book sports courts and facilities.

  • Discover available sports venues.

  • Join sports activities and events.

  • Book coaches and trainers.

  • Participate in tournaments and leagues.

  • Manage sports bookings and reservations.

  • Connect with sports venues and service providers.

Maydan acts primarily as a technology platform connecting users with independent sports venues, coaches, trainers, tournament organisers, and other sports service providers.

Unless otherwise stated, these service providers operate independently and may have their own terms, policies, and responsibilities.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We may collect different types of information depending on how you use Maydan.

A. Information You Provide Directly

When creating an account, making a booking, registering for a tournament, communicating with us, or using certain Maydan services, you may provide information such as:

  • Gender, where provided.

  • Nationality, where provided.

Maydan generally does not store complete payment card information such as full card numbers, CVV codes, or equivalent authentication credentials.

  • Related booking information.

Transaction records may be retained where reasonably necessary for accounting, auditing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and compliance with applicable laws.

D. Location Information

With your permission, Maydan may access your device location to provide features such as:

  • Showing nearby sports courts.

  • Showing nearby sports facilities.

  • Improving venue search results.

  • Calculating or displaying distance from venues.

  • Recommending nearby sports activities or events.

Location access is subject to your device permissions.

You may disable location access at any time through your device settings. However, certain location-based features may become unavailable or less accurate.

Maydan will not access precise device location without the permissions required by the applicable operating system.

E. Device and Technical Information

When you access Maydan, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including:

  • Device type.

  • Device model.

  • Device identifiers where permitted.

  • Operating system and version.

  • Browser type.

  • Application version.

  • Preferred language.

  • Where processing is necessary to complete or manage a booking or transaction.

  • Where processing is required to comply with applicable laws or regulatory obligations.

  • Where otherwise permitted under applicable law.

Where your consent is required, you may withdraw that consent subject to applicable law.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawfully carried out before the withdrawal.

Certain services may not be available if the information required to provide those services cannot be processed.

5. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

Maydan does not sell users' personal information.

We may share limited information when reasonably necessary to provide our services.

Sports Venues and Facility Operators

When you make a booking, relevant information may be shared with the venue or facility operator.

This may include:

  • Attendance information.

Coaches and Trainers

Where a user books a coaching or training service, relevant information may be shared with the selected coach or trainer for the purpose of providing the requested service.

Disabling push notifications does not prevent Maydan from displaying important information inside the application.

Maydan may use email, SMS, push notifications, or other permitted communication channels for operational communications, including:

Maydan is not responsible for independent data processing activities conducted by third parties outside Maydan's reasonable control.

Users may request deletion of their Maydan account through the account deletion functionality provided within the application.

Where available, this functionality may be accessed through the account or profile settings.

Deletion of an account does not necessarily require the deletion of information that Maydan is legally required or permitted to retain.

14. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Maydan is primarily designed for adult users.

Users under the age of 18 should use Maydan only with the knowledge and consent of their parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

Where Maydan knowingly processes personal information relating to a child and guardian consent is legally required, Maydan will seek the appropriate guardian consent.

Maydan may request appropriate verification before providing access to, modifying, or deleting information relating to a minor.

15. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Maydan currently operates primarily within the Sultanate of Oman.

Some technology, hosting, analytics, payment, authentication, or other service providers used by Maydan may process or store information outside Oman.

Where personal information is transferred outside the Sultanate of Oman, Maydan will take appropriate measures where required by applicable law to ensure that such transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.

As Maydan expands into GCC countries or other jurisdictions, information may also be processed in those locations where permitted by law.

16. FRAUD PREVENTION AND PLATFORM SAFETY

Maydan may monitor activity on the platform where reasonably necessary to:

  • Detect suspicious transactions.

  • Investigate payment chargebacks.

  • Investigate booking disputes.

  • Investigate manipulation of cancellations or no-shows.

  • Maintain platform security.

Accounts reasonably suspected of fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity may be restricted, suspended, or terminated in accordance with applicable terms and laws.

Maydan may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

  • New platform features.
